Omniscient P.O.V.

It would totally change the story. We will not know what the little boy is thinking or his thought of this as an adventure. In stead, this will be a story of a tempted mother either relaz and think about gorcerry or the struggle of letting his little boy go and be a man. This story was orginally about a boy trying to grow up and leave puberty, to take on an adventure. However, parents want their children beside them and protect them. If this story becomes the mother's view, she will be looking out a thinking if she should stop her son from diving.

Film v Print

Movies and books have always been quite a place for people to expierence adventure. Often times i enjoyed reading books than watching movies. Books provide the reader a more imaginative way of everything from it. You get to imagine what the character actually look like, the settings, the plot twist of the whole story. Diffrent people expiernce the story diffrently and they predicts a diffrent way of the whole thing goes. When you watch a movie, it fills in all the colors for you. From the diffrent colors of the tree, the specific arrangement of people and everything about the movie. You loses the space to be free of your mind and imagine. For some people this is a bless from movie. They couldn't remember the whole thing from the book that they created. Therefore watching a movie and letting the colors and images flow your mind just boosts the expiernce with its long lasting memories. As for me, i remember how i first imagine the story, and the way i imagined it are always more interesting than what the movie portraits. Everytimg i read a book, i expierence the adventure fully and feel that i interact inside the story. This feeling of interaction is something that i can never feel from wacthing a movie.

Shaped by Time and Place

Time and palce changes a person's hobby or interests. I often imagine myself living in another time zone or another country such as the Renaisance period. I love arts in the Renaisance time and all the famous work of symbolisms and artist style. That was the time of my great interest in art. I would learn art from famous painters such as Alberch Durer or maybe Titian. I could then leave my name in history and be a famous and honorable person. Living in the islands or Hawaii could also be interesting. I'm very interested in board sports such as snowboarding or surfing. I picture myself cutting through the waves and diving down the rocks. Getting tanned, getting fit and leave a short little curl hair and no more glasses. I could live in Japan and hnag out with some hot japanese girls. Go snowboarding every saturday from 8:00 to 6:00 and become a expert on snowboarding while my grades are still good. Life in another place sounds good, diffrent from America or Taiwan where you just have a popular sport of basketball or baseball. Away from video games or much of a tv when you have the natural surroundings around you to be able to feel the cool breezes of the wave or from the snow each day.

How You Present Yourself

Each person present themselve in the soceity diffrently. SOme shows them as a very active and cheerful person. SOme shows them as a strong and scary man. However, i believe these traits depends on people if they conceal or reveal themselves. Take me as an example, i may look sheerful everywhere, but people say i'm the type of people that conceals themselves and hide all sorrow away. I may look disorganized, but i arrange efverything in a order that i know of and like. If anything is out of order or passed the specific limit that i want. I would burst off or redo the whole thing. There are also people in the school that conceal themselve. They can act all so tough and silent, however they turned out to some pathetic fool that doesn't know anything. There are a few person in school that are just like that and doesn't do any work. People around the school have diffrent traits and view of themselves. They might conceal or reveal, and i mostly reveal and some traits of mine are automatically taken over by my outside appearance.

Symbol of the House

The story of Julio Cortazar shows lots of symbols. I personally couldn't figure out what the house is. It may be a symbol of the two main character's mind, but somehow the things inside the house doesn't quite fit into place. To be honest, this story made me wonder alot of things. There are things from the money, the yarn, and the french books and the trips. The French books and the trips could be used as a pathway of traveling between reality and his sanity. If we are using the house as his mind. As for the sister, the yarn could also be the one thing that entact her and the actual world. By knitting, she holds onto something that is true in her hands and continue to knit and knit. The brothor walks out the door, be intact of reality and goes down to the book store. The book store could means several diffrent things. A actual book store, or the book store means the society. Where he talks to people and gets no answer. From the answer of no french book was founded, it may means that his words doesn't get any reply from the society. His travels are get the yarn, murmur on the street and people thinks his insane and regard him out.

Being Tested

In a story, characters faces diffrent obstacles in their way. When a character passes a new obstacles, they expierence diffrent changes through their minds and body. In old stories, myths, legends, the hero takes up a responsibility of killing a mythical creature or great enemy. In the end of the battle, the hero will slay the monster and often receive a new object for their quest. Often times, their conquer of a enemy also brings physical such as body improvement with their victory and they grow stronger. There are also mental changes in some stories. Like the book i just finished today, the main character realized what his family was doing for the past thousands of years and destoyed the evil that lies inside his family. He received a new power however also feel hopeless and in awe on the big secret that lies behind his family. This change brought him into a new mental change and shock as all conquer in the end isn't always good.

Proving One’s Self

Teenagers are always trying to prove themselves. Their position in the school society, community, or the respect that they get. Take me as an example, i tend to hang out with people older than me. I have to act a bit more mature than some people in my grade will do, like not to spit boba tea on the ground(for fun). Proving myself to look more mature, doesn't matter your clothings or your body. I tried to get fit and grow my six packs, althought i'm skinny but its growing. I find this proving oneself also have a relationship between finding who you are. Finding what you really are, what you really like and can do happens in this time. I used to try out diffrent kind of clothing to find what i really like, from chinese boys to american boys than to a bit skater punk feeling. This is all part of a finding yourself and tou maturity process. Making a dare or fulfilling a promise is also a way to prove youself among the people. Successing a dare from a people tend to make you feel more intact with people and not being left out.

Symbols

A symbol, a name or a object that represents a specific meaning. There are lots of symbols all over the world. A logo, a flag, a brand, or a native american spirit animal. Symbols can be both natrually agreed on or maybe someone presents the idea and people sort of agree and give in to it. When you look at how the symbols of the native americans. The wolf and eagle represents diffrent spirits and people carry them as symbols. They were presented by elders can over a period of time, people agreed on and know each animal's aymbol out of the top of their head. A logo or a flag is also a form of symbol. They were created by someone and used to represent themselves. People creates some logo at will by making a company or establish something that says" Hey! this is us, look at our picture that represents us!" there are also natural symbol that occurs around. I'm a perfect example of a symbol. People in school calls me brocolli because they just thought of me when they look at the brocolli. This idea was started by one person sudden;y adn everybody agreed on it.

Welcome Back!

I had a fantastic weekend, the trip in japan, a whole week of going out, and a even week of games. My trip to Japan was epically fun and hilarious. Derek had a 6 stitches and eddy broke his arm. I advance to intermediate skill in snowboarding in a day. Snowboarding was so fun, with the soft and melty snow in Japan is something that i have never felt before. The snow i used to ski in are hard carving snow. With the soft snow in Japan, snowboarding feels like surfing as the snow flies all around you when you carve. The restaurants inside the hotel was also fantastic. Everyday we could eat something diffrent and a extreme quantity and quality. The lunch ramen and tempura was also fantastic. After te trip in Japan, i went back to taiwan for a week of games and computer. It was games and some homework to work on then nothing else. The second week, i met with some old friends from America and we went to a china spicy shabu shabu. It was pretty good meat, but expensive. At the last day of 2010, i met up with Alex and a whole bunch of other people to shopping. We split up in the end and watched a movie. After knowing they are going to 101 i decided to go back home, didn't feel like squeezing with them in the crowd. I watched 3 movie over the break, due date, the tourist, and tron. It was one of my best winter break, and wish it was longer.
