Love?

For Christopher, he have a very wierd sense when it comes to love. He couldn't read emotions, doesn't allow people to touch him. I believe that his dad lvoes him with communication. He communicate with him throught talking and care for him. Despite all the wierd habits that Christopher have, his father regard all of that and follow all the rules of Christopher and what he likes.
For me, i don;t have a specifric definetion for love. I believe communication too, i like someone who can screw around with me, talk to me alot of times and be there for me. I'm diffrent from Christopher, i like to be touched. It gives me a sense of comfort and belonging when i'm touched, a pad on the shoulder, a hug or anything. Looks matter to me alot, but i would pick someone that is fun and active over someone who is quiet. Talkative women never occur to be a problem to me, my moments of silence are quite little.

A World With No People

No, i have never dreamed about leaving alone in the world, it would one hell of a fcking disaster, honestly. I have to ahve friends, i have no life if i have no friends that love me. If i were to live alone i might as well kill mysellf and die. First, you will not have electircity, no entertaiment, no fantastic food such as a well cooked meal from the best restaurant. Instead, you will be eating instant noodle for the next 2 to 5 yeaars. All the things that are inside the frig will run out of power and the food expiration days have the longest of 5 years. After that, you're screwed. Leaving alone never occur to me, i would only imagine myself being stranded with someone alone. Such as being stranded on a island with the person i love, being alone means we'll be together for long and possibly love could sprout out. That's what my dreams are ususlly about. i would also imagine myself being trapped with my enemy in a deserted palce and no one would come. I could beat him, pee on him, humiliate him, and possibly even beat him to death if i want. No consequences will be made to me when i can be with my enemy alone. I believe the kind of alone that i would like is refer as time stopping. The power when you can stop time for any amount of time you feell like and want. Do whatever you like during that time, steal some drinks, eat in a dinner without paying, and even slap your boss and he wouldn't know.

Each Other’s Business

In the passage Eboo Patell wrote, he talked about racial and religion judgements. Using the Norman painging that he gave, it talked about people from diffrent goups facing the same god. They live in peace a harmony around each other. We are all in this together, we have to work together and live together. After looking at the work, i feel a sense of harmony and united feature from the painting. From the poem, it also discuss about people standing together. From both sources the Eboo Patell provide and believes are true and i strongly supports it. The idea of stadning together over a universal belief of the same god should be in all people's heart. I don't think god would like to watch us kill each other for fighting who was worshipping the right one.

Self-Definition

If i have to define myself in one word, i would describe myself in the word curly. I used to hate that name because i wanted to look more like everyone else. However, as time pass on till now, i like the word curly as it suits my personality and look. If you would have walk around numerous school like i did, its really unusual for someone to have a afro like this nowadays and its espacially unique. Anyone can look at me once and remember me by my curly hair and name me something that is related to curly. I like the name as it also suits my personality. When having a curly hair, it really look a bit messy and hard to comb and organize it. I'm a unorganized person, but i still have the sense of responsibility. The messiness of my hair correspond to how i do things the way unorganized. With the unique look, i also dress diffrently from kids around my community when i'm around. I like to wear lots of rings and necklaces, this is quite uncommon to some students and i stand out even more. This further strenghten my word as curly, unique hairstyle, and a unique dressing. I think i am fine with both way as narrow or lots of names. When you have lots of names, it kinda symbolize you are universal, lots of people know you. When you have a narrow name like i have now, it like your symbol. It would only mean one thing when this word is called out and you will be the only one that turn back and say "what?"

Author’s Attitude

I believe that the author of Islam in America agrees and supports the Muslims living in America. Fromthe statistics and the examples that were given to the reader, it seems the author want to make clear of the religion and the people. The author seems to be me that his trying to make me feel ddiffrent about the muslims. Expressing the idea that they are also relugar people and some follow a strict code while some don't. However they are all regular kids that you could hang out with and understand them. When looking at this article, it made me remembered some of the people that i met in the summer, lot of them were friendly muslims while they follow a strict code of law. They do fastings, they wear proper clothing and say no bad words. They are really friendly, and i kind of miss them and the article made me further realize how muslims are not just wierd people or terroists. I think the author wrote this article after the 911 event probably a few month or year later. It was written to young people such as teenagers in high school to educate and open them into the world of muslins. To go and understand them and be friendly with them.

Living Together

I used to hang out with all kinds of people ranging from pesky white boys to mad blacks. I can get along well with all of them. WIth the enviroment i have now, there isn't much of a cultural diffrence and background. however i believe if we can have a cultural diversity and background it can make soceity a better palce to accept newcomers. People can join a diffrent group easily and fast, feeling like themselves when in a cultural diversity group. If it was a small asain that wanted to join a whole group of big african americans, it might be wierd and akward for him to act really ntaural. He would stand out in the group and possibly be aware of rumors or maybe discrimination in the group of chit chats. If it was a group that is join by diffrent groups, he can view himseld diffrent with other people as they all stand from diffrent parts of the world or culture. They could learn from each other on each unique diffrence of life. As they learn of diffrent customs, they can increase the tolerance on diffrent people because they already felt it before. However, there might also be a possibilitiy when the people's culture clash and fight can arose.

I'm recently paying close attention on what would happen to your house and properties. I'm doing my best right now to protect your belongings and preventing them from sold. i know how you feel about the whole situation on your house and all and i feel truly sorry for you. Unfortunatly, i really couldn't do much for you except to help you keep your things till you come back. I will send a letter to you every month from now telling you the situation of your house.

Narrator’s Persona

To be honest, i hated the story, however the author did gave me a feeling to the story. I hated the story on the killing of the dog and the boring dialogue and thoughts. The narrator did however give the thougth of the feelings toward the subject of the camps. The narrator hated it and you can feel a bit of hopeless and a bit of blaming the U.S feeling. I feel the emotions on the victory garden and the packing of things. As the feeling all crumbles together slowly, the reader feels the large burden that you are leaving everything you used to have back in this place. The feeling that they might lose everything is successfully convey in the narrator's voice. However once again, this story is hella boring and sad. It's so sad that it becomes boring where there is no twist except a cute white dog was smashed dead without even knowing why or have one of his best meal he ever have. The killing of the dog senselessly really got me angered and depressed. After the dog, the way the children talks to the birds are even more annoying, this story took me a week to finish it as its dumb plot and dislogue couldn't let me sit down for 20min straight and get down with the story.

Life-Changing Events

I believe that changes in people's lives depends, this question could means by the whole human race or maybe just one person. In history, humans have to cope with the change of climate, their resources for lives. A huge natural disaster could devastate a society around the world as they have to learn to adapt to new things and live off new foods or ways of survival. To just regualr people right now, i believe death of a close family member would be a great change. Imagine the people who lost their parents when they were young or maybe their awesome grandparents. Dang that would suck. For me, nothing made a big change except the expierence that i was stuck in the elevator. I can live off anyhting that involves meat inside, enviromental issues doesn't affect me, people problems doesn't affect me at all too. I used to change school every year or half a year due to the diffrent school my mom like and i was having fun with it. I don't want to think about the biggest even that might change my life, last year i almost have to deal with it but fortunatly it didn't happen. I hate to lose anyone i know in my family, and i don't like to predict what would happen if i loses one of them,

Satire in “The Storyteller”

In my last journal prompt, i have talked about the things that Saki have been poking at somehow. In the story, the bachelor's story, the aunt, and the kids are all poking at the behavior of parents and the soceity. The aunt is a image of modern parents, trying to tell the kids to behave all the time, and in the end its not really helping anyways. In the bachelor's story, it shows a contrast of the view of aunt. Bertha was behaving well and doing everything that her parents order to do. In the end she was devoured by a wolf. I believe this story is a satire on the society, goodness and obediance are not always rewarded. Bertha could be a innocent being in the soceity, and the bad people would use this obediance as one of your weakness and turn it back to you. Such as a rapist and a innocent girl, the rapist will look at your well being and possible give you a candy and lure you onto his car. A very friendly manner can result in a terrible consequence like the history of the native americans, their goodness to the spanish caused them a disaster as slaves and killed. The goodness can be turned back to you and obediance are not always rewarded. The kids can also be referred to the kids of modern society, we ask why, we don't take stupid answers like that's better. The words shown in the story also shows humor. In the discription of the pigs, he use some odd descriptions such as black pigs instead of regular pink pigs. A phrase horribly good, pulling the children's atttention and the reader's attention. The storyteller consists of lots of great thoughts and satire is one of the main. Goodness and obedaince are not always reewarded.

Motivation for Telling a Story

In the story" Storyteller" diffrent characters have diffrent motivations. The bachelor and the aunt's motivations both include similarities and diffrences. the bachelor and the aunt both wanted the kids to be quiet and stop talking. The bachelor's way of making the kids to be quiet is quite diffrent from the aunt. The aunt wanted to tell a story that can teach a lesson while the bachelor want to tell an interestign story. The two person's feelings during the story telling progress were both diffrent as well. The bachelor was actually quite enjoying the process of the telling as the kids are quiet and appreciate the story in the end. The aunt was annoyed by the kids, the boring story that consists of the same things all the time and the lack of details couldn't fill the children's imagination up. The lessons that each story also differs. In the aunt's story, a stupid and over repeating lesson is taught again and again and it kills the children's interests. In the bachelor's story, it sounded like a lesson wasn't implied however one important is in it. I would view the story as an satire on modern parent's however it also talked about civil obediance. Being good isn't ususlly appreciated and you have disobey to be successful sometimes.

Omniscient Point of View

The way the omniscient point of the view shows each character's thjoughts make us like a supreme. We will know all thjoguths of a character and we can know their motives and some of the things that might happen before a character inside know. if you have told the story from the aunt's view, it is probably filled with the thoughts of the aunt and how a disturbing man the bachelor is. While from the bachelor, the thoughts would be how to show off to the aunt or how the kids are annoying. The story will go only one way while maybe the words and sentences the author can use may also affect what we thought about the people in the story or the events that happened.

Goodness

No, being good all the time definietly is nto something to follow for the rest of your life. Every men have to face a time of disobediance, where they have to fight against authority or other people. The story of the aunt is bad, it might be good in some direction but i believe her intention of just behave is wrong. When you behave all the time, your inner thoughts can be covered, and become over flowed. In real life, society values people with free thinkings, people with great thoughts and ideas that can lead people and do things incredible. Look at the guy that made facbook, he dropped out of harvard, and so with Bill Gates, i don't believe that they followed what their parents want to succeed in life like this. I believe that the bachelor's story is a reflect of the real world. When you are too obediant, you can attract the wolves and bite you back for your obediance. In life, one have to be strong about their thoughts and mind to fight the wolves back.

Saki’s Purpose

I believe that Saki uses the aunt's story as a sorta old style of thinking. Teaching people a lesson however it doesn't make the story interesting and leave a hard impression on the children's mind. It might wbe a warnign or a showing of how old style of thinking and the new type of thinking. In the situation of don't, that is what mostly the adults say to a child. Don't do this, don't do that, is what most people or kids hear. It is heard often times to kids and they can get annoyed. The story and all these hintss is like a appeal for the author discussing the clash of the two thinkings. The bachelor answers the children's imagination with lots of discription, rather than shutting it down, he explains it and added another color or layer to his story.

Influence of Childhood

I believe that expierence is one of the key event for a good book. A writer with lots of expierence will most likely know what to write in the book and make it interesting and fun for people to read. Childhood expeiernce often changes a person's behavior as it leaves a big impression in people's mind as the days goes pass. The bigger the influences are, the greater the diffrence of material will the writer write about. Childhood influence doesn't just change how a perosn writes their story, it can also affect their lifestyles. For example, i was stuck in a elevator for 4 hours before and now i hated riding the elevator alone for the fear of being stuck once again. I would try to walk the stairs most of the time if there isn't anyone going to ride the elevator with me. Such example could be used to writing. If the author lost a family member in a war, most likely they will base their story on war, sorrows of war, or maybe try their best to avoid war in their story as it may bring back unhappy memories. When using a memory that the author had, the story could be written in a more interesting or realistic way.

Point of no return

I beleive that msot people back down and panic when they meets a point of no return. For me, te situation differs for my point of no return. I often face lots of point of no return, moving to a new school, a mid-term, a report card, the hour before my competition of taekwando or even going on a rollar coaster. These are all points of no return for me, however i just chill out and relax. If there was no one behind my back shouting for something, i ususlly just chill for everything. Such as the mun conference i went recently, i'm fine going up the podium with jeans and sport shoes, as long as pamala won't be at my back shouting at me for not having the suit, I don't really care. I aslo like to imagine myself in the times of a character in a novel, their points of no return also gets me thinking of what i will do when i'm in times like that.

My Favorite Stories

One of my all time favorite story book is "the grave robbers secrets". This is one series that i will never forget or even show my kids. The best series that i read when i was little was "The Lighting Thief". In the series the lighting thief, it included lots of greek gods and myths. Special weapons and awesome scenaries are used and i espacially love that. I have lots of imagination on things, i espacially love creating the views from the things i saw form books and picturing myself fighting beside those people. With all the gods power such as ligthing swifting all through out the book and my heart pounding all around as the plot of the story twist and turns everywhere i get more and more excited on whats going to happen next.
My possibly all time favorite and probably no one can beat the series is the "The Secrets of Grave Robbers". The best and most fascinating thing about this series is that it is hella long. The story is nothing like you would imagine, starting from the descriptions of the graves, the ancient chinese grave robbing secrets and all that codes between the experts. The clans of the people, the wierd and mysterious tombs and settings of the place. There just seems to have endless things in the book that you can just grab and read until the book ends and it can leave you requesting for more and more. The series are still running right now and it would be best if this series could continue all the way towards my graduation year. Everything about the book is fascinating, the characters, the places, the tombs, the conspiracy behind the people, the legendary stories of the people. The places are the most tension grabbing and breath taking places. The author's imagination on the palces are just endless, you could be imagining this ancient prehistoric tomb that is carve right in the middle of the himalayis and the diffrent tools that are used to kill the robbers and how the leader or a little figure on the sides would suddenly turn their backs on the team and suddenly cracks open a jar or so and escaped leaving the people to their death. All kinds of thing could occur in the series and the plot is fascinating. This series is absolutly flawless and i wish you, Mr. Mccool to read this novel if it ever came out in english.
I read alot of book to be honest, i read lots and lots of book outside of school. I have a three big shelves with books that i bought with my own pocket money and i would travel to specific book stores just to check out the newest books and the most interesting series that are around.

What I Like about this class

English 2 Honor have always been a fun class to me, Mr. Mccool' class are also one of my favorites of all time. There is nothing that i don't like about this class and I love this class. The class consists of interesting readings, they are inspirational and i am learning about something interesting in the book and it can help me in my life. F451 is one of the best examples. Now, I would like to walk around the neighborhood and take a look around and even help someone to open the door for them or picking up something. The class materials are not too hard, the homework loads are not too much, quality work instead of quantity work. We have enough time to prepare for the tests, class preparations and all we need to know about the test. Latin and Greek roots quiz are also a great thing about this class. Its something that i haven't learn before and Mr. Mccool continue the work of Ms. Brown and made it better and more fun. The jokes in class created a happy atomsphere and no grumpy stuff around that can make you really angry. Mr. Mccool teaches good, I'm absorbing all the stuff that's being taught to me right now and its useful stuff. This class is flawless, its perfect, andd i wouldn't want to change anything about it at all.

Why be a Prodigy?

Jing-Mei's mother believe that they are in the land, the land where people could be whatever they want to be. America was her dream and ahse wish to open new land for her daughter. Jing-Mei was excited at first too about the dream of being a prodigy. She wanted to get her parent's approval and tried her best to do it. My mom and dad doesn't actually press me on anything hard. They mumbles around my ear everyday abut getting striaght As at first and I'm also trying my best. My mom and dad just kept on talking to me that i need to work harder and umbles aorund my ears everyday. After a long time, i got really fed up and was angry for them to putting so many invisible barrier pressure on me and they just kept on saying look at the other people outside. She kind of just constantly using people from the local school on how many after school academies they have to go and how i don't have to do anything. When i compare my friends to me, they always use the excuse" don't use the people let's bad around, you are you, they are they don't compare" It just pissed me off. Last year was when there are most fights because they think i don't have any homework. We shouted to each other almost everyday and when i go back to see my dad i'm pretty much scared if we will get into a brawl. The only people that could listen to my complains was my aunt and she took it all in and act like a messenger to dilever my messgaes. After half a year my dad finally decide to stop the mumbling and let go. However my mom didn't and she just constantly mumble until i was so angry one day i left the house for the whole day until 1 then i went back home. It really bugged me and now this year the homework load is four times more they stopped mumbling about my homeworks. I push myself in things that they didn't push such as taekwando, i went into a few competitions and went into the champions class for my own good. I normally pushes myself on work but they were just paranoid on A and didn't see it, like they want me to do just more and more. Last year was a very tiring period since my mom and dad changes plan everyday such as shutting down the internetm took the tv away from my small room and leave no entertainment to me. It's not as bizarre as the tests that Jing Mei's mom give but it acts like a invisible tense atmosphere around the house and i wanted to escape it whenever i go back to taipei. The life of Jing Mei is really sad, and even though my mom slips all kinds of activities such as going out with friends to me but when the people say yes and the mood says no, it actually feels more tense and sad when you disobey them. In the end me and my parents decided that i can't be push by them like that and it will just crush the family. They loosen up, and now I can finally work regularly again. Jing Mei's story kind of touch what happened to me last year and i was kind of touched and this journal write kind of opened up the feeling and i just wrote all this.

The Influence of others

A person's life can be affected and determined by the people around them. They may be a good or bad influence and the influence can also be good or small. One of the positive influence i had is Christine. She may not look like a organized person but she's actually one of the most task organized person i know. She have all the things that we have to do today listed, explain it to us and we all can get to work easily. Her hard working attitufe also affected me greatly. She would stayed till 10 working on one project such as the haunted house, she assigns specific and clear instructions to us and if we messed up she didn't scream or show great anger to us. The high enthusiasm to everyhting and try to do it good was also what amazed me and wanted to act like in the future. Her personality, outgoing and extremely friendly to everyone is the most important triat i find fascintating and want to learn.
One of the worst influence i had and learned to forget about it an old friend of mine called Duncan. He was the class star in elementary, after he went to middle and high school in dominican catholic school, something hit him and he totally changed. When i went to the school and saw him, he was a real bad influence to me. His in part of gangs, numerous fights, smokes, and who knows what dirty deeds he do. I was looking up to hinm since he was the most popular guy and i wanted to be like him(although i didn't do all those things). He was rich, he didn't care about school, he didn't care about work, and he didn't even care about his parents anymore. He was a real bad influence to me but after a fight i had with him i broke free of him and decided that i will never ever be like him.

Character Traits and Conflict

8. Mama is a large woman, she lived in the countryside her whole life and from her actions, she doesn't seemes to be educated too much and she probably doesn't care about being educated or not. She emphasized the things that Dee brought back from the city she doesn't like, saying things that blacks doesn't need to know. It feels like Dee is mocking mama when she actually is not. Mama's dream is to live in the country, and i can feel that she kind of regret sending her into the city for education.

9. Mama faces many conflicts in the story starting from the descion of who gets to get the quilt of internal conflict in her mind. The physical contact of shouting or anger of Dee and mama in the external conflicts. The quilt is the treasure of thr family. Mama have to make wise descions of who gets to have this heritage and can use this heritage with the best use and can continue on this tradition of their family that they can sew something on generation after generations.

Literary Analysis

Maggie loved the quilt, she want to use it and let the quilt to be part of her and also part of her future family. The quilt is something important to Mama and Maggie since they both grew up with the quilt by their sides and i believe both of them would want to sew a part of them on top of that quilt. However, I believe Dee is just viewing the quilt as a tool for her to show that she climbed all the way top from a country girl. Dee wouldn't value the quilt as much as Maggie and Mama do.
Dee value the quilt as a symbol to the other people, she probably don't like the quilt but said all that things about the quilt to please her mother and get the quilt from her. The quilt isn't something important to Dee from the family, in fact i kind of think that Dee actually dislike her origin of a country girl, she wanted to abandon this past but now somehow she wanted to prove to other people of her position again. She is kind of spoiled and citilized, no longer country or what her origin is.

Read with a Purpose

maggie and Dee are like two diffrent person that had a diffrent background and belief even though they are both sisters. I beleive Dee's belief on the quilt is to hang it, honoring the family's quilt and hanging it to show the greatness and also for her own good of a symbol that she is still from the country rather than a soely city folk. Dee's pirpose is i beleive suits the quilt best. She will most likely live in the farm for her life and using the quilt is an actual use of the quilt for everyone and what their ancestors such as Great aunt Dee and greatgrandmother Dee would like, to see the quilt being used on the farm and sew something new on it.

Reading Focus Quick Check

1. Dee is the kind of woman that want everything, the kind of girl that have princess phobia. She is borned pretty with a very strong attitude and i beleive part of it is because she was sent away to a good school and in the cities. Maggie is the total opposite. She have scars on her and i believe the scars is probably bullying from Dee due to her attitude and Maggie's fear to Dee too. Dee probably oppressed Maggie alot and she couldn't fight back to her anyway.
2. Both of the daughter was going to use it diffrently, and the way somehow reflects the place they are from. Dee is going to hang up that quilt and somehow that's what the city people do with something that they valuable while Maggie is going to use it. Some of the times people from the country will put lots of things to use a old piece of cloth, a shirt and they will use it till it breaks and then repair it again. However i believe the use of Maggie can successfully use the spirit of her grandma and that it be in real use of sleeping in it.
3. The title of the story kinds of show the quilt, a everyday use and a never use. Maggie represents the everyday use of the quilt while Dee represent never using it and just hanging it on the wall. It somehow can show a contrast on the city people and the country farm people.

Character Traits and Making Inferences

A: Diffrent characters react on their own triats it is very easy to identify them. The main character in everyday use described herself. One hand with life and there will be no "No" in her life. The narrator sounds very strong and independant, hard hearted. She is superbly strong and can probably live in the moutains all alone.
The second thing that shows her psersonality stong is ger dream. She dreamed of being some kind of a movie star, most of the stories or narrator dreams about something like this is either they're totally opposite of what they wanted to be or exactly the same but their talents are not discovered.

B: The relationship between Dee and the narrator is either really close or they hated each other. The way the narrator described Dee and her are like sisters, except the sister relationship can go both ways. She mentioned holding each other's arm, and cry ineach other's arms. This could mean they are either a long distance away and brought back together or it can mean the special guy have changed their relationship from hated each other to started to like each other. The relationship between Dee and the narrator could also mean Dee may be dead. A miracle might happen or during the time she is still alive and they can hold each other.

How does heritage contribute to character?

People's personality is created mostly on genes from your parents, some of your personality are being shown by your own development or way of living. In life, a person is required to have courage to do things, either it is giving a speech in front of millions of people or sky diving, facing something that is entirely new to you. All of these activity or challenges in life requires courage to lead you through it.
Diffrent charactaristics are being pass down to their children. Things such as knowledge, beauty, courage, or your body structure and maybe if you are shy or outgoing. All these factors are essential in life and critical for a successful life. Being pretty or handsome may change his viewpoint of people and relationship as a toy or something that is easily granted because theirs people folloing at your back all the time. To a ugly person, this can change their personality also, they may not trust people that well or because the attitude being treated turned then into a diffrent person.
Knowledge is something that everyone in this world is concerning. Everybody wishes their child to be smart, some can look at a thing in school and remember it the second he finishes it. Some may take hours to remember it and therefore learns to pays extra attention to everything. Someone's body feature may also be a important part of his charactaristic, it changes the soceity or people that he deal with and develop a diffrent hobby, diffrent friends and therefore his life is changed.
All heritage have a good and bad effect on someone's life. Someone's chararistics is what shows the person's true self and what his life will be like or future can be like.

Compare and Contrast

The journey of John and the coyote is a great contrast to look at. The journey of John is a mystery to him, he might die, he might not go to heaven, he might get killed on the route, but he moves on. The journey of the coyote was a play, he was just walking around and came upon this mysterious giant that can eat other people.
John's journey was base on a strong dream, a very solid background for him to start this incredible journey while the coyote's journey was just for fun and came upon. John have a very strong spiritual desire for his journey while the coyote is really just playful on his journey. Their encounter was really diffrent too, John had to prevent all of his obstacles and run away while the coyote killed the giant easily just by finding his heart in the cave. John's setting of the story also differs from that of the coyote's. He went to a place where everybody is dead, and the coyote was saving everybody.
Their journey however have some resemblance on the settings. They both faced things from the forest, Jogn had to avoid the forest people while the coyote also faced a giant and some people from the forest. The both of them received a warning from someone on their journey to ask them to turn back and abandon the path while they regarded the warning and moved forward.

Conflicts - Internal and External

By the waters of bablyon talks about the main character goes on the journey to New York, the place of the dead and the Gods. The place of the Gods were forbidden to travel to, the east are not for people to go to and it was said that the ground burns forever.

The main character faced huge internal conflict. The pressure in the start of the story by his father was quite great as he kept on telling him it is forbidden and you shall not let your dreams are you. Later on he decided to go on to the place of the gods, regarding the conssequences on his soul or the pressure around him. Death in the place of gods created a big conflict to his mind, he tried to tell himself that he saw enough but his inner mind wouldn't beleive that and he proceeded. The tales also created a great conflict in his mind about the things that is in there.

The external conflict are the things around the city of the Gods. The city of the gods had radiation before but as time passes, the radiation passed and the main character did not feel the radiation. The forest people was a great external conflict as they might kill him and stop his journey. The lake was strong, the dogs in the city is fierce and the spirits that he said is around him. He believed that his the son of a priest and no harm can hunt him, the belief helped him out of troubles and his faith was his ultimate power.

The main character faced alot of internal conflict as the thoughts of spirit and death troubles him much. The further he gets in the city he expierences more and more of the place of the gods and he learns how to avoid danger such as using a door.

Unfamiliar Place

I remember the smell of fresh cut grass everyday when i go to Cal Poly in America for my summer classes. Cal Poly is a local College around my house and is a actually pretty famous school for their architectures. I remember the first day i was walking alone from my car to my classroom. Wondering what the people will be over there and their ages. Hoping that i can get along with them. As i walk, i have the urge to touch the classrooms and feel the wood and think about my summer. As i walk near it, i smell the people smoking cigarettes and then i realize i will be hanging out with lots of 20 to 25 years old people. It was a interesting expierence as i see all these Saudi Arabians or koreans all hanging out together and smoking. As the first day passed, i immediatly get to know my first friend. She was a big smoker but she continually to advise me not to smoke. After my first friend, i immediatly know all the other people in the school, then everyone know me, the teachers, the passers all know me. It was a very interesting expierence for me the knowing all these people and starting from someone who is absolutly new to a new palce can get to know everybody so fast. One of my favorite thing in the College is the cafe. Drinking starbucks is probably the biggest boost you will need for your day and pleasure. Me and mmy friends often sit in the cafe and discuss the super hard materials i get in the school, plato's theory, Carl Marx and Eric Fromm. All these are fustraqting and fun to study with a friend. The smell of coffee and hot girls in the coffee shop are also a pleasure for me. The hottest waiter in starbucks was so used to seeing me all the time she always know what i want and we became good friend. It seems liek i just change the big campus to another one of my big party house with all these friends around me all the time.

The famous novel, The lord of the rings was a great and fantastic book of adventure. Inside the book, the main characters, Frodo and Sam embark on a journey to get rid of the ring, the powerful ring that can turn whoever wears it invisible and actually quite evil. In the story, i believe that Frodo doesn't learn much, while Sam learned important moral and value in a man.

Frodo's role to me was a wierd man. He didn't seem to learn anything throughout the movie except maybe he was acting more and more cooperate to Sam but he was actually looked kind of mean or spoiled. In the end the whole journey was somehow way too much for him and he left with the elves to their lands for redemption on his soul and mind.

On the other hand, I believe Sam learned quite alot and his good man heart was even better. His was very caring to Frodo, warning about the journey and became more and more tolerant to him as the road gets more harsher and dangerous. He was willing to take risk and face danger then Frodo did. In the end he had a great life and a great wife. I believe that was a happy ending for Sam for all his growth of tolerance and caring.

Making time more slowly

Writers can make time moves very very slowly, like its been a hundred years when only 10 minutes passed. They can also make millions of years time pass right at this very second. The usage of words and the punctuation stnads a very big part in how the writers change the time of a story.

Finney uses alot of flashbacks for the character, he have a major part of the story thinking what might be like if he fell down the ledge and nthe times that he have spent doing all that work. There are also other techinuques where Finnry uses alot of punctuation mark such as commas and no periods. Making the sentence rather long and stretches the time. Careful details also increase the time zone. A moving of a muscle, a tingle in the toe and all that flow of inner feelings can cause agreat load of time and words to be used and feel like time have passed for 1 and 2 hour when all the thing Tom have been thinking was ust simply 8 minutes.

Each person's values differs, some may say their family and others may say is something within themselves that makes their life inportant. I believe that an outside force is stronger than an inside force, such as friends. Your friendss matters alot of your descisions in life rather than your families. I improve by doing things with a friend rather than with my family, friends and friends can pull themself together due to their similar in interest and i believe that's the thing that makes a person to improve what they're good at. With improvements you can grow better and better at the things you like and get the approves of other people. Friends also affects diffrent parts of a person's life besides improving both of your interests they also supports you alot.
I found that sometimes having the approval of multiple friend is greater than your parents as your friends are excited abotu watching you doing something that you have never tried before. A friends impact on one of oyur descions are also essential. They might tell you something is bad once and you already decided to change your mind while your parents tell you millions of times and you didn't care and you kept on doing the exact same thing.
Friends are a greater im,pact on me than parents even though my parents always supprted me, however i think that the judgements and support a friend gives me are even more effective than a member of my family give me.

The house of flying daggers

The setting and the plot of "The House of flying dagger" is rather interesting. The picture showed a very clear situation of excitement and a signal of surprise as the people on the bamboos show. The people are upside down in a gesture of sliding down without their face shown, a very interesting and surprising way to appear. The background of the picture with a very thick fog on the ground while the light could still shine through is a very secretive setting, signaling that this place is not suppose to be seen. The horizon of the picture as it fades out into the background is also interesting, right at the point the fog and land meets it disappears. The man and the guys on top could be allies or enemies, the way its taken and how the main person in the picture is facing made it hard to tell. This is one very interesting picture as it uses light, fogs, and gestures to clearly shows the mystery of the setting adn the element of surprise.

A Expierence, shared all around the world

Anybody in the world will always have a first crush or a first hatred of somekind, it didn't matter if it was to books, a person, your mom and dad, a rule, or maybe a thing your firend did. All this is part of emotional release and everybody have a common expierence of this. I beleive a perfect example for a expierence that is shared by all people is definetly the feelings of love and hatred. These two feeling are shared universally and carried out diffretly by everyone.
Everyone treated love a diffrent way, some will secretly love a girl or a boy while some other people will very open;y proposed and express their feelings to everyone. Everyone carrys it out in their own fashion and some amy go so radical they will sacrifice everything they have just for a smile or a wink from their love ones. It got so exteme they lost everything due to their love ones but they feel its nothing. I've known friends who are so shy to the people they love they wouldn't tell anyone or even go talk to her, while one of my other friend devoted all his time hext to his dream girl regarding homework, snack or lunch money just for her.

Hate is a common understanding for everybody, and it might just get overdosed when someone hates everything that's around them. The opposite of love is hate and people will definetly have a taste of both feelings. People can hate everyhting, starting from a game, a movie, a family member, someone from school, anything can be hated by a person. Its a global expierence as it can get stronger and more dangerous to everyone such as murder. Hatred can easily happen to everyone and it can also get stronger around people as it turns into the thought if killing someone.
