Humor’s Role
I strongly believe that this entry's quesiton is going to be on the test for typhoid ffever. Have you ever heard of the expression "all hope is lost"? usually in a movie, something like this would happen and suddenly a little mere discovery of something they could use against the enemy turns the whole situation of the main character different. WHile the thing that they discover was probably a everyday object that people threw on the ground. When all happiness is eliminated in the story Typhoid fever, a little humor in the story overrun by saddness could light the whole situation up. The main character Frankie have no life at all, no life. His stuck in a hospital, battling against death everyday and the boring nuns that wouldn't even allow laughter in the hospital. What is there to life? So when some simple joke like mimicing someone's voice that happens just about everyday in our life and we find it stupid happens in a life like Frankie, it makes him laugh. Everything seems too tragic already, nothing could go worse and a little humor can make people laugh
